The start of October 2012 in Anderson County has come with carnage and death most associated with the scary end of the month holiday. The Anderson Independent is reporting on several motor vehicle collisions ending in death and serious personal injury:
- On Wednesday, October 3, 2012– James Patrick Wilson and Kathy Jean Cromer, died when their truck hit another truck head-on. There were two men seriously injured in the other vehicle, Ricky Harvey Duncan and William Troy Tabor;
- On Thursday morning, October 4, 2012-in the early morning hours, two minors under the age of 10, for unknown reasons, ran into the road near their bus stop and were struck by on coming traffic. Jerry Albertson was the driver of the vehicle on Tabor Road. The two minors were treated and released from AnMed Hospital;
- On Thursday evening, October 4, 2012-a motorcycle collided with a vehicle. The motorcycle driver, Joseph Bryan Coffin, died from the collision. Clint Grady Hendrix was the 18 year old driver of the other vehicle and was turning around after missing his intended turn.
